3 June 2026, Baku: Baku will host the next meeting of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on June 4–5.
Senior officials from the central banks of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Türkiye are expected to attend the meeting. Representatives of the central banks of Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will participate as observers. The secretary-general of the Organization of Turkic States is also expected to take part.
The meeting will serve as an effective platform for discussing issues related to maintaining macroeconomic and financial stability amid global uncertainties, improving the effectiveness of monetary policy transmission, and addressing opportunities and challenges arising from digital transformation in the financial sector. Participants will exchange views on two main topics: central banks' monetary and financial policy responses to global and regional risks in the medium term, and the development of digital financial ecosystems, including financial technologies.
The Council was established in 2024 to strengthen cooperation among member central banks on issues including monetary policy, financial stability, payment systems and financial technology. Its inaugural meeting was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, in 2025.The council serves as an advisory and consultative body and aims to promote policy dialogue, joint research and closer cooperation among the central banks of member countries.
