25 September 2026, Baku: Central Bank Governor Taleh Kazımov called for more flexible, data-driven approaches by regulators as uncertainty continues to shape the global economic and financial environment.
Kazımov made the remarks at the Second International Investment Forum in Baku, where he and Finance Minister Sahil Babayev took part in a session on ‘International Financial Cooperation: Building Partnerships for Development’. Their remarks focused on ‘Global Financial Outlook and Regional Impact.’
Kazımov also highlighted the role of foreign investment in diversifying Azerbaijan’s economy, pointing to the country’s strategic position as a transport and logistics hub along the Middle Corridor. He said Azerbaijan’s macroeconomic indicators, financial stability and international credit ratings provide a foundation for investor confidence.
The forum brought together global investors, government officials, representatives of international financial institutions and business leaders. A subsequent panel discussion involving international organizations and local financial institutions focused on channeling international capital into infrastructure, industrial and regional connectivity projects. Participants also discussed ways to expand cooperation among multilateral development banks, private investors and financial institutions, as well as the role of credit ratings and market information in strengthening investor confidence.
The Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum is focused on developing new partnerships, attracting investment and expanding economic opportunities.
